Princeton Friends Summer Camp will launch its 20th year on June 17, 2013. Once again we offer campers a summer full of adventure, creativity, fun, and community, within the peaceful wooded environment of the Princeton Friends School campus. Princeton Friends Summer Camp features daily trips to Broadmead Swim Club, arts and crafts, games of all sorts, music, drama, weekly special events, and time spent every afternoon constructing stick-and-log “villages” in the woods that surround us. While campers spend the majority of the day in their unit with same age fellow campers, there are parts of the day, such as Community and swimming, when we enjoy mixed age activities. Every week we take on a new theme, and around each theme, we offer a variety of activities and events at age-appropriate levels. At the center of it all is a connection to nature deeply felt by both our campers and our staff.
Parents in need of a longer camp day for their children may register for our Extra Camp program. PFC Extra Camp runs from 7:00 - 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 - 6:00 p.m., features games and activities run by our camp staff, and makes for a relaxing, fun-filled way to begin or end a busy day of camp.
PFC is directed by John Zimmerman, who has been with the camp since 1999. Assisting John is a staff of talented and enthusiastic counselors, many of whom have been with us for several summers and are trained in first aid, CPR, and water-safety skills. Our staff-to-camper ratio is 1:8.
